The founders
Chaflow was born from the friendship between Mu and Ivy, two tea enthusiasts driven by a common ambition: to introduce the French to a little-known facet of Chinese culture through tea.
Born into the Miao minority, Mu grew up in a mountainous village in Enshi, a region of China renowned for its exceptional teas, naturally rich in selenium, a trace element with numerous benefits. Her family has been cultivating and crafting tea for several generations, carefully perpetuating ancestral know-how. From childhood, she was immersed in this living tradition, learning to recognize the subtleties of each infusion and to respect the rhythms of nature in a preserved environment.
Proud of this heritage, Mu has always nurtured the dream of making these rare and precious teas known beyond the mountains of Enshi. As a young entrepreneur focused on innovation, she wants to offer a new way of enjoying tea: an experience that is both modern and faithful to the authenticity of its terroir, designed for the lifestyle of the younger generation. As she likes to say: "I carry within me the benefits of my land, pure and preserved, as well as the unique aroma of our selenium-enriched tea."
For her part, Ivy, originally from Shanghai, has always been fascinated by travel and the richness of cultures. When she discovered Mu's native region, she was deeply touched by the beauty of the landscapes, the generosity of its inhabitants, and the exceptional quality of the local teas. Seduced by this exceptional land, she decided to partner with Mu to share this treasure with the rest of the world.
Their meeting gave birth, almost naturally, to Chaflow: a brand that reveals the unique teas of Enshi through a contemporary, elegant approach rooted in tradition.

Chaflow's Origins: Enshi, China
Enshi is located in the mountainous region of southwest China. This culturally rich and mysterious territory, inhabited by ethnic minorities, is also renowned for its high selenium content, earning it the title of the Selenium Capital of the World. Its unique geographical location gives this soil a natural richness in selenium. "Yulu" is a specialty green tea, while "Lichuanhong" is a specialty black tea.

The people of the mountainous regions of Enshi have made a living from growing and picking tea for generations. To ensure the quality of the tea, hand picking is still practiced today. We hope to contribute to the internationalization of Enshi tea. We are committed to donating 1% of the profits from each box of tea sold to support the development of these regions.
